Manila Megastack 20: Jonald Garcia Commands 77 Main Event Day 2 Qualifiers; Raymundo Gomez Wins Megastack Turbo
The last two flights of the PokerStars LIVE Manila Megastack 20 concluded at the world class Okada Manila in the Philippines and driving his stack to the top of the leaderboard was local player Jonald Garcia which was a staggering 57 bb ahead of his closest challenger. Manila Megastack 20 Main Event
With 512 entries over all four flights, resulting in a total prize pool of P20,113,920, the Manila Megastack Main Event is down to 77 finalists that will have to continue to bring their a-game on December 7, 2024 to have a chance at clinching the title and the P3,713,920 first prize. Play will resume at 13:00 local time with everyone guaranteed a min cash of PHP 75,000.

Jonald Garcia Ends Flight C In Command
Out of all the Main Event flights, it was Flight C that drew the most attention with 250 entries seen throughout the ten rounds of late registration. By round 16, the bubble burst and the 38 ITM qualifiers was determined. Filipino player Jonald Garcia emerged as the chip leader, bagging a whopping 709,000 in chips, equivalent to 142 bb.
A late charge including last minute eliminations of Robert Yamashita and Jeffrey Pamplona. Bagging up second rank, though far behind the leader was Sehoon Jin with followed by Alvir Inocentes in third rank with 478,000.
Joseph Talamayan Finishes Atop Flight D
Flight D Turbo concluded at level 19 with 12 out of 79 rounding out our day 1 qualifiers. Joseph Talamayan already sat on a massive stack when we started our coverage and ended the flight in 1st place with 310,000, closely followed by Jester Intia with 306,000 and Kim Yongkyun with 285,000.
Raymundo Gomez Wins Megastack Turbo
Running alongside the headliner was the conclusion of the Megastack Turbo which drew a total of 223 entries for a prize pool of P2,284,000. On the final day, 34 players returned, everyone guaranteed a piece of the pie. At three handed, an ICM deal was struck leaving only the PHP 120,000 APPT Manila 2025 Package to play for.
Chip leader Emmanuel Segismundo finished in 3rd place, earning the largest cash payout of PHP 323,324, Darryl Chan took second for PHP 278,000. Closing it out was Filipino Raymundo Gomez for a payout of PHP 306,000, the trophy, and the package.
