WSOP #69: $1500 Marathon NLH [ Asia ] – Nick Maimone “rdcrsn” – $ 302,471.86
Milestone day for American pro Nick Maimone “rdcrsn” who survived a grueling thirteen and a half hour race at the WSOP #69: $1500 Marathon NLH [ Asia ] to clasp his first ever WSOP bracelet. Maimone defeated Brazil’s Diego Bittar “JaxTeller” at heads up to claim $ 302,471.86 and the added $15,000 WSOP Europe Package.
Maimone got his first taste of WSOP money back in 2008 where he finished 4th at a circuit event in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The following year Maimone pocketed his first six figure payout of $ 633,022 for 15th place at the WSOP Main Event. Since then, he collected 11 more cashes though none that surpassed his high score until 2016 at the PCA. Maimone championed the $ 25,000 No Limit Hold’em High Roller 8 Handed for a handsome $ 996,480 payout. To date, he has over $ 2.1 million in live earnings.

Entering the final table running sixth in chips, Maimone was joined by well known online multimillionaire pro Sebastian Sikorski “Mustlaaaveit” who was fresh off a victory at the $ 500 Sunday Deepstack side event. Portugal’s Giovani Torre “Mandjocka” was also on the virtual felt for his second final table visit. The chase was led in by Canada’s Erik Lemarquand “FortySixand2”.
The final table ran for nearly three hours before Maimone put a lid on it. Early action was dominated by Russia’s Nikolay Motsenko “PROMSGT” who pressured his tablemates leading to the fall of Bert Stevens “ILOVECATS” (9th). With more chips to play with, Motsenko continued to attack the felt to eventually collect Lemarquand’s (8th) entire stack. Next shove, Diego Bittar “JaxTeller” nearly fell to Motsenko with A-J behind A-Q however the board saved him running A-A-J-J-8. Heavy action followed with big pots moving around the virtual felt. Forty minutes later, Ermo Kosk “PublicEnemy7” finished off Murilo Fidelis Do Nascimento “RaiseBluff” (7th).
Contributing to the knockout show, Maimone denied Kosk in 6th place with pocket Kings victorious then Bittar railed Sikorski . Maimone picked up his second stack by sending the hard hitting Motsenko out in 4th place with over that missed. Down to three, Bittar claimed the chip lead though briefly. Maimone railed Torre in 3rd place to enter heads up with a narrow advantage.
From there, the pro muscled Bittar to build a 4:1 lead. Bittar sensed it and made a hero tank-call for all his chips on a board . Maimone had bluff, Bittar pair. Despite the great call and boost in artillery, a few minutes after Bittar bit it with outdrawn by Maimone’s that dropped a king on the flop.

The event also soared past its $ 1M guarantee and in its place a wealthier $ 2,050,496 prize pool with 2,300 paid.
The final day kicked off with 4,003 players ready to click away however by game time, the server had to be stabilized due to the massive influx of players taking their seats. Reminiscent of opening day, players patiently waited. The delay lasted one hour then paused again for another 30 minutes due to “too many players sitting out”. When it resumed, good news flashed on the screens that all Day 2 players would be refunded $50 for the inconvenience.
At the tenth hour, China’s Huahuan Feng “F7588” entered the final table as chip leader having railed “youknowiknow” 11th and Carffan (10th), holding pocket Kings on both occasions. Feng went on to rail four more to lock up his first ever career title, first ever WSOP gold bracelet, and a career high score of $ 211,281.63. Paused: WSOP #70: $25,000 NLH POKER PLAYER CHAMPIONSHIP
The high roller bracelet event WSOP #70: $ 25,000 NLH POKER PLAYER CHAMPIONSHIP dragged many top notched pros out of the woodwork. Among those making their debut appearance were Phil Hellmuth, Timofey Kuznetsov, Adrian Mateos, and Nick Petrangelo. It eventually pulled in 407 entries to keep the pot at a bulky $ 10,000,000.
Alike the BIG 50, the event experienced a pause for one hour. When it resumed, action was brutal with players quickly falling. For star player Michael Addamo, who lost an $842K cash pot to Wiktor Malinowski on a cooler then went on to win a third High Rollers Super MILLION$ title, his day ended as the stone cold bubble with falling to Aleksejs Ponakovs’s . Ponakovs went on to reach the final table.
To form the final table, Shankar Pillai “Saquon” four bet Jack Salter . Salter tank called then pleaded with emojis for luck to shine. It did, but for Pillai with two Aces showing up. Pillai raked it in to carry in the second largest stack into the final table.
