Three bustling days in the books, the U Series of Poker Hai Phong Main Event qualifying rounds have officially wrapped up with a total of 1,507 entries recorded across four flights. Initially guaranteed VN₫ 15 Billion (~US$ 609K), the final numbers saw its prize pool swell to VN₫ 38.2 Billion (~US$ 1.55M) with 188 players cutting a share. American pro Tony Miles sits atop the Day 2 ranks, having bagged the overall chip lead across the Day 1C flight.
All remaining runners are now guaranteed a min cash of VN₫ 45 Million (~US$ 1,820), along with a fighting chance to claim the VN₫ 6.3 Billion (~US$ 256K) top payout. Action resumes at 12 noon, September 2nd – 5,000/ 10,000 blinds, with play set to conclude once the field is down to 18 players.

Main Event Day 1C and Day 1D Recap
Regardless of the stormy weather, the disposition at Dream Dragon Resort remained sunny and bright with over 300 players engaging in battle across the tournament floor. Highly decorated pros Konstantin Held, Hoang Hai Nam, Nishant Sharma, and Bien Mai, along with USOP ambassador Kyle Bao Diep, vied for a spot into Day 2 yet fell short of making it through.
Day 1C closed following nineteen levels of play, with USA’s Tony Miles leading the 65 survivor pack. Miles landed the chip leader pot with top set across a three way showdown by the last two levels, for the advantage. Miles stacks slightly over Day 1A chip leader Juyeol Lee 1,099,000 (110 BB), and returns for today’s Day 2 games with a healthy 1,158,000 (116 BB).
