Up and Down: Big online wins for Truteller, One more High Roller for O’Dwyer
Trueteller – Biggest online winner of the yearso far
Timofey ‘Trueteller’ Kuznetsov has had a busy year at the online tables so far, with more than 20,000 hands in the books across 301 sessions at the time of writing. There have been swings during that time, but his recent downturn in February had endangered his position as the leading money winner for this year. After a fantastic start in January, where he rocketed to almost $480,000 in profits, Trueteller’s graph has not made serious progress overall, but he will have been pleased with the 8-game session he played recently, in which he won $104,361, repairing most of the damage he incurred earlier in the month.
Despite his ups and downs since January, Trueteller remains the biggest winner of the year, with $458,000.
O’Dwyer wins another high roller
This event was one of three which featured a buy in above $10,000 and it featured some well-known pros, with Anthony Zinno also making the final table. Nobody could stop the O’Dwyer charge though, and despite having not played as many High Rollers lately, O’Dwyer remained in top form to take the victory and $240,451 prize money.PokerStars Championship has been busy trying to cement itself as one of the premier live festival around lately, and its recent stop in Panama has certainly not done any harm in that regard. Big names and lesser known players alike turned up to get involved, but in the High Roller, it was the familiar name of Stever O’Dwyer who stole the spotlight. When interviewed, O’Dwyer said “I’m ready to start playing more again. I’ll be at most stops for the next few months”.
