Day 1 is a wrap with 25 players out of the 46 entries bagging up. Up top is Youhyun Kim with 240,500. Registration is still open for two levels in Day 2.

Two hands for Seitaro Aso, the first opens with 2500 from Finn Penderak, small blind Aso three-bets, big blind Natalie Teh four-bets all in for 38,200, Penderak folds, Aso calls.

One orbit later, from utg Rishi Mehra opens 2500, cutoff Youhyun Kim calls, small blind Aso three-bets 10,000. Mehra and Kim call then they all check to the turn J♥ Q♦ 5♥ T♠ . Aso leads out 8,000. only Mehra calls. The river A♠ Aso bets a large 70,000, Mehra uses up a time bank then folds.

Youhyun Kim raises 2600 then calls James Mendoza's 9600 re-raise. When the flop runs 4♦ 3♥ 6♣ Mendoza bets 5500 that's called then shoves 22,500 on the turn A♠ . Kim calls that too and is ahead 8♠ 8♥ against Mendoza's K♠ Q♦ . The river 4♠ doesn't improve Mendoza to lose all of his chips.

Finn Penderak raises 2500 and the blinds Seitaro Aso and James Mendoza call. Flop comes 8♠ A♠ 4♥ , check-check to Penderak, he c-bets 2500, only Aso calls. The turn 2♥ and river T♠ are checked by both. Aso shows A♦ Q♥ , Penderak mucks.

James Mendoza raises 2500, called by small blind Rishi Mehra, then big blind Trung Quan Nguyen three-bets 5000, both players call. Nguyen c-bets 6000 on a flop K♥ 6♣ K♣ , only Mendoza continues to the turn K♦ . Nguyen fires 10,000, and wins the pot with no further challenge.

From utg Seonguk Huh raises 2500 and is joined to the flop2h K♥ 5♠ by three callers. Blinds Michael Soyza and Siyoung Lee check to Huh who c-bets 3000, called only by cutoff Lifu Huang. The turn J♣ sees a bet of 11,000 from Huh that's called by Huang once again. With the river 9♥ , both opt to check. Huh turns over A♥ J♦ second pair, Huang has K♠ Q♥ top pair and collects the pot.

The turn T♥ and river Q♦ seal the win for Mehra as Park goes bust.

We missed the hand that sent Michael Soyza to near 80,000 but we did catch a couple of small pots after. Raising 2500 from utg+1, big blind Sergei Sultanov calls. Soyza then bets the flop and turn 9♠ A♥ K♥ 1000, 2500, Sultanov check-calls both. No bets land on the river T♥ . Soyza's K♠ Q♥ outkicks Sultanov's K♦ 2♦ .

Another hand, Soyza opens 2500 again then calls William Teoh's 10,000 three-bet. Action is checked to the turn 2♦ 8♥ J♣ 4♦ , Teoh leads out 15,000, called by Soyza, then they check the river 7♥ . Teoh opens K♥ T♥ air, Soyza pairs up with 8♣ 9♣ to claim the pot.

Having busted from the Main Event, Michael Soyza jumps in the APPT High Roller and gets in a hand. He opens 2000, Siyoung Lee three-bets 6000, button Daehyun Lee calls and Soyza joins to make it a three-way. Flop comes 3♠ 3♥ 2♦ , action is checked to Daehyun who shoves 14,400, only Siyoung calls.

Seongjun Jeong opens and heads to the flop with two callers Trung Quan Nguyen and Sejin Park. At the flop 4♣ 2♣ T♥ , action is checked to Nguyen who bets losing big blind Park while Jeong calls. The turn J♥ Nguyen sends out 11,000, this time it is met with a check-raise from Jeong of 2800, Nguyen calls. On the river 7♠, Jeong tanks for one time bank then bets 35,000 covering Nguyen who calls all in with 32,300.

James Mendoza and Raju Jaruplavath build a pot of 6500 then check to the turn 2♣ 5♥ K♥ 2♠ . Mendoza bets 3500, Jaruplavath check-raise 13,500, Mendoza calls. The river 3♠ Jaruplavath leads out 22,000, Mendoza calls after using a time-bank then mucks to K♦ 5♦ two pair.

Pot of 14,000 built preflop sees the cards land 5♦ T♠ A♦ . William Ysmael and Alfonso Baja check to the turn A♥ . Baja bets 8500, Ysmael flats to the river T♥ . Check from Baja induces a 28,000 bet from Ysmael, Baja folds.

Jun Hao Chong raises from cutoff, button Sergei Sultanov and big blind Siyoung Lee call. The flop runs 7♠ A♦ 6♦ , Chong c-bets 1800, Sultanov calls, Lee check-raises 5400, only Chong continues to the turn 8♠ . Both check for the river 4♦ . Lee checks again, Chong bets 16,000, Lee tanks for a time-bank and calls. Chong flips open 5♦ 8♦ flush, Lee mucks.

From the button, Daehyun Lee raises 1600, small blind Jun Hao Chong three-bets 4500, big blind Sergei Sultanov calls it, Lee joins for a three-way to the flop 2♥ 6♣ Q♣ that they all check. The turn 5♦ sees a 3000 bet from Sultanov, called by Lee, Chong folds. The river 8♣ is checked. Sultanov claims the pot with K♥ Q♥ top pair.

Gary Thompson opens for 1300 and finds two callers to see a flop 3♥ 5♠ K♥ . Thompson continues for 1500, Raju Jaruplavath calls while big blind Finn Penderak folds. Thompson continues on the turn 3♣ laying out 3000 that's called. They then check the river T♦ . Thompson's 9♠ 9♥ bests Jaruplavath's 8♥ 8♠ .

Daehyun Lee raise 1200 then calls small blind Sejin Park's 4000 re-raise. Flop comes 9♣ T♦ Q♣ , Park c-bets 4000, Lee calls and head to the turn 9♠ . Park checks this time, Lee slides out 12,000, Park tanks for one time-bank then shoves 33,000, Lee gives it up.

Lester Edoc opens from cutoff then calls big blind Rishi Mehra's 2,500 re-raise. Both check to the turn 3♦ 3♥ T♣ 7♣ . Following a check, Edoc bets 2500, Mehra shoves 20,000, Edoc calls anad has two pair that holds on the river 6♦ to clean out Mehra.

Cutoff Daehyung Lee raises 1000, button Seonghun Jeong re-raises 3500, small blind Sejin Park four-bets 9000, Lee folds and Jeong makes the call. At the flop T♠ K♣ T♥ , Park continues for 6000, Jeong calls. On the turn 3♦ , Park fires 8000, Jeong tanks for one time bank then folds.

Four players in on a raised pot, flop runs A♥ T♣ T♦ , all check to the button Rishi Mehra who bets 2500, this loses big blind Ngo Khoa Anh and they head to the turn J♦ . Again it is checked to Mehra and another 2500 is laid out, small blind Siyoung Lee check-raises 10,000, loses Victorino Torres while Mehra calls. On the river 8♣ , Lee shoves 35,000, Mehra folds.

Four players in on a raised pot see a flop 5♥ 2♥ 4♦ . Two checks to utg+1 Natalie Teh lays out 2000, button Taeho Lee raises 6000, two folds follow then Teh jams 32,600. Lee calls and it's a cooler with a set over set.

The turn J♣ and river 9♠ completes the board for a double up to Teh.

Kazuomi Furuse opens 800, button Sergeo Sultanov calls, big blind Kei Okuda three-bets 4000, Furuse calls while losing Sultanov. When the board completes J♥ 3♥ K♣ 9♦ 5♠ , Okuda bets 5000, 15,000, then jams, Furuse calls it down, using three time-banks on the river then calling for less behind.

Sultanov's cowboys hold to double up.

Youhyun Kim opens then calls Shinya Maeda's 1600 re-raise. Flop comes 6♥ A♠ 9♥ , Maeda c-bets 1600, Kim check-calls. On the turn 4♦ , Maeda shoves 8300, Kim well covers and check- calls.

The river 2♣ doesn't improve Maeda to go bust.

Two players build a pot of 5400 and head to the flop 5♣ Q♠ 6♦ . Button position Kei Okuda bets 2400, big blind Rishi Mehra check-calls to see a turn T♣ . Mehra switches up and leads out 6000 only to face a raise of 14,000, Mehra calls. On the river 7♠ , Mehra jams 15,500, Okuda calls and covers Mehra.

From hijack, William Ysmael opens 900 and big blind Gary Thompson defends. Thompson check-calls Ysmael's 1600 bet at the flop 8♥ T♥ 2♣ , then both check the turn 3♥ for a river card 3♦ . Thompson leads out 3500, Ysmael raises 9500, Thompson folds.

Facing a raise from Alfonso Baja, and a three-bet of 2200 from Victorino Torres, big blind Finn Penderak four-bets to 5500 and finds one caller in Torres.

On a flop 4♠ A♦ 9♦ , Penderak c-bets 3000, Torres raises 11,000, called by Penderak. Both check the turn 3♠ for the river K♥ . Penderak jumps out with 8500, Torres uses a time-bank then calls. Penderak shows A♣ A♥ set, Torres mucks.

Facing a raise that's called, button Gary Thompson three-bets 3200, initial raiser from utg Kei Okuda and hijack Seonguk Huh both call. At the flop 6♥ K♥ J♦ , action is checked to Thompson who continues for 3500, Okuda calls, Huh raises 14,000, Thompson tanks for one time-bank then folds, Okuda tanks for two time-banks then folds as well.

From utg, Shinya Maeda raises 800, small blind Taeho Lee re-raises 3300, Maeda four-bets 9200, Lee calls to end the preflop battle. Maeda continues 8500 on a flop 2♦ T♠ T♥ , Lee check-calls, then both check down the turn 5♥ and river J♣ . Lee flips open A♦ J♦ for a rivered pair, Maeda mucks.

Taeho Lee raises to 3500 and button Victorino Torres calls. When the flop runs 4♦ 9♠ 5♦ , Lee fires 80,000 that well covers Torres' stack of 38,400. Torres calls.

The turn 6♣ gives Lee the straight draw, with the river 4♠ , Torres completes a boat to double up again.

From utg+1, Victorino Torres raises 600, cutoff Taeho Lee and button Natalie Teh join to the flop K♠ J♣ 3♣ . Action is checked to Teh who bets 800 that's check-called by both. The turn 8♥ begins the same with Teh laying out 3100, this time Torres check-raises 8100, Lee bows out while Teh calls.

The river A♦ sees Torres jam 9,900, Teh calls. Torres doubles up with a set.

Three players in on a raised pot preflop, they check to the river J♦ 7♣ K♣ T♣ 8♠ . Big blind Seonguk Huh bets 800 and wins the small pot.

Finn Penderak opens, called by Kazuo Yamamoto, small blind Victorino Torres three-bets, big blind Seonghun Jeong, Penderak , and Yamamoto call.

At the flop 5♠ 4♠ 6♥ , Torres continues for 4500 to lose Jeong, Penderak calls it, then Yamamoto jams 14,000. Torres and Penderak both call to head to the turn 2♦ . Following Torres' check, Penderak bets 13,0000, Torres calls for a side pot. Another 15,000 on the river 9♦ called by Torres.

Seonguk Huh opens 600, the blinds Daehyung Lee and Shinya Maeda call. When the flop runs T♠ K♥ Q♠ , Huh continues for 500 that loses Lee called by Maeda, then a 1300 bet on the turn K♥ . Maeda check-raises 3600, Huh calls, the go to the river 8♠ . This time Maeda leads out 4300, Huh uses two-time banks then raises 18,000, Maeda tanks for two time banks then calls.

Seonghun Jeong raises 500 from utg, cutoff Seonguk Huh calls, then button Daehyung Lee raises it up to 4000. After the blinds fold, Jeong and Lee call.

At the flop 6♦ 6♠ 6♥ , it's checked to the aggressor Lee who c-bets 5500, only Huh continues to the turn Q♣ . Lee then fires 15,000 which is enough to claim the pot.

Slowly but surely, the APPT High Roller event is seeing several more bodies pull up seat. Registration is open all day and two levels of Day 2 giving others plenty of time to jump in.

From utg, Taeho Lee raises 600, hijack Gary Thompson re-raises 2200, Lee makes it 10,000, Thompson calls to end the opening betting round. On a flop 9♠ 7♦ Q♥ . Lee continues for 11,000 and wins the pot without further challenge from Thompson.

Small blind Kazuo Yamamoto opens 500, big blind Seonguk Huh calls it, then also calls the 500 continuation bet on the flop 9♦ 2♥ 6♥ . On the turn 8♠ , Yamamoto checks this time, Huh bets 1200, Yamamoto calls. Same action on the river K♦ with Huh laying out 3500, Yamamoto decides to fold.

After some delay, the APPT High Roller is now underway! The event features a guarantee of PHP 10,000,000 (~USD 173,000). Buy in is PHP 250,000 (~USD 4,325). Starting stack is 50,000 with blinds increasing every 40 minutes.
