Flight A of the Poker Dream 10 Vietnam Main Event was a light one with only 31 taking interest. A♠ the clock neared 4am, the bubble burst and the remaining 4 players bagged up and are guaranteed a piece of the VN₫ 20,000,000,000 (~USD 789,110) prize pool. Racking up the largest pile was none other than the bubble executioner Korea’s with 221,000 (55 bb). Not too far behind is Australia’s Julian Warhurst with 206,000 (51 bb). The players have a few days break before returning for Day 2 on May 4, 2024.

The end of day has arrived at the fall of Nguyen Minh Thanh on the bubble to Jang Wongeun who in turn closes as chip leader. From cutoff, Nguyen opens 6,000, Jang defends the big blind, then both players check the flop and get to the turn 9♠ Q♦ K♦ 6♦ . Nguyen bets 12,000, Jang check-calls. On the river 8♠ , Jang check-calls the 7 bb shove. Nguyen opens A♠ T♥ air and falls to Jang’s Q♥ 8♦ dominating two pair.

All in preflop. small blind Lee Xiang Wei Alex shoves 25 bb holding 9♥ 9♦ then runs into big blind Julian Warhurst’s T♣ T♥ higher pockets. No change on the board 7♦ J♥ 5♠ 8♠ 8♥ to send Lee out just before the bubble round.

All in preflop, Jang Wongeun opens, Yohwan Lim shoves, Jang calls and it’s a flip with 5♥ 5♦ up against Lim’s A♣ J♦ . Though not needed, Jang further improves on the board Q♦ 3♦ 5♣ T♠ 3♠ to clean out Lim.

Nguyen Minh Thanh 7♠ 7♣ opens from cutoff, button Lee Xiang Wei Alex A♥ 8♣ three-bet jams 13 bb, Nguyen calls. Lee connects on the board 5♣ 5♠ J♠ 8♦ 4♥ to double through.

 Yohwan Lim A♠ 9♥ opens from utg+1 and finds two callers. All three check to the turn K♥ J♥ 7♠ , Lim bets 25,000, only Julian Warhurst K♠ Q♣ calls. Both check the river 9♦ . Warhurst wins the pot.

Down to 7 bb, Zheng Guang Q♣ J♦ goes all in then falls to Kim Eunjin K♥ 9♥ after missing the board completely.

Cutoff Jack Salter K♥ 6♥ raises 3,300, big blind Lu Zijie defends. Salter c-bets 7,500 on the flop 8♦ 2♥ 7♥ and gets called. Both check the turn A♥ , then. Salter fires 21,500 on the river Lu calls. Lu mucks to the flush.

Kim Eunjin K♦ Q♠ opens 3,200 from utg+1, Anton Lu 4♥ 5♥ calls from the big blind. Kim bets the flop and turn K♥ 3♥ 5♣ 3♣ 4,000 and 10,000, Lu calls. Both check the river 8♣ . Kim ships the pot as Lu drops to 9 bb on the missed flush.
