After sixteen levels of play, today's Day 1B games capped off its action with 41 players advancing through to Day 2 led by China's Sun Yuan. Sun was on top of the field for the last three hours and continuously chipped up by taking down several pots to finally end the day with a commanding lead. Sun bagged an impressive 543,000 chip count with second in the running, Sun Jianfeng not even close with 366,000. All returning players are now guaranteed a minimum payout as well as a one night complimentary stay at Landing/ Shinhwa Hotel for opening day of the next KPC in Mid-November (TBC).

Crippled down to 2.5 BB, Yang Qinghao flicked in his last 22,000 and was called by big blind Demus Patrik. In for a race, the board 6♥ 9♣ 7♥ K♣ 8♦ remained in favor of Demus, putting the Day 1B games at a halt.

Right at hand for hand play, button Yang Qinghao open shoved 100,000 in and saw Lin Chien Yu call off for her 78,000 stack. At risk, Lin locked in the double up after the board A♠ 3♣ 9♣ 3♥ A♠ ran safe for her pocket pair.

Song Ying limp called a 33,000 raise from the small blind against Pak Valeriy just a seat behind. The two check down board 6♥ 2♠ K♦ Q♦ J♣ , with Song showing 3♥ 3♠ for the win.

Sun Bin opened and called off Wang Shengyong's 63,000 all-in, only to find himself as a huge underdog. Board ran T♠ 3♥ 2♥ Q♠ J♠ and Wang easily raked in the double up.

Cheung Chung Ching slammed 55,000 folded to him and saw Zheng Jie reshove from the small blind. Falling short, Cheung failed to improve on board 8♠ Q♥ 6♠ 5♠ T♥ , sealing his elimination.

Leading the field, Sun Yuan joined the action from the button having called a raise from cutoff Sun Bin. On flop J♥ 7♦ Q♣ , Sun Yuan raised Sun Bin's 11,000 cbet for 14,000 more and collected the pot after his opponent folded.

Facing an open, Peng Ke shoved all-in for 83,000 and saw Che Jiaming call off for his 45,000 stack. Original raiser folds and the two run board 7♦ 5♦ 9♣ 3♥ J♣ , sending Che out of the running.

Zhang Zhihao open shoved 50,000 in and was called by Pak Valeriy. At risk, Zhang bowed out shortly after the board 7♠ 5♣ 7♥ A♠ 4♠ rolled on the felt.

Lin Lianzhi pushed all-in for 49,000 and saw Xu Guo behind him reshove for a heftier 125,000. All other players fold and the two run the board 5♠ 5♣ Q♠ 6♦ 6♣ for a split pot.

Cutoff Song Ying opened the action and was followed by a three bet to 38,000 from button Pak Valeriy. Song clapped back with a raise to 68,000, convincing Pak to give up the fight.

Small blind Song Ying raised to 15,000, called by Pak Valeriy behind. On flop A♣ Q♠ 9♦ , Pak called another 20,000 and headed to turn 5♥ . Both players check it through, peeling river 7♦ . Song bets 30,000 and shows A♥ 2♠ for the win after Pak made the final call.

Cheung Park Yu went all-in for 65,500 and ran right in to Song Ying's premium holdings. Drawing slim, Cheung headed for the exit shortly after the dealer tabled 7♦ Q♠ T♠ 5♣ 4♥ .

Matsuda Naohiro open shoved 46,000 and was followed with another raise to 90,000 from chip leader Sun Yuan. No other players join the showdown, revealing board Q♠ 7♦ J♦ T♣ 6♣ . Matsuda scoops up the double up and survives through.

Huang Hsin Min shoved his 57,500 stack in and was called by Sun Chang Liang. In rough shape, Huang shot down to 1 BB after the board T♣ K♦ 9♦ 4♣ A♥ offered him no help.

With an open and a call in front of him, Yang Chongxian shoved his last 31,000 in with 7♥ 7♠ and saw Xiao Xian make the call. Che Jiaming just behind, reraised all-in to isolate and Xiao opts out. Che is ahead with 9♦ 9♥ but came crashing down after Yang spiked his two outer on board to land the triple up.

Shen Enzhi opened the action and called off for his 20 BB stack after Sun Bin moved all-in. A pocket pair battle, Sun's higher pair scoops up the pot on 9♦ A♥ 4♦ 8♥ K♥ , sending his opponent out.

Mp Sun Yuan defended his open and called an 18,500 three bet from Cao Tingjia right behind. On flop K♦ 3♣ Q♣ , Sun fired a check raise to 28,000 vs Cao's 13,000 cbet. Cao avoids a big stack clash and folds.

Pak Valeriy opened to 12,000 and called off Gao Kang's 95,000 jam behind. A crucial race, Pak was happy to pair up on board 7♥ 7♦ Q♠ 4♣ K♣ to steal the win away.

Cutoff Che Jiaming opened to 6,000 and saw small blind Cheung Chung Ching fire a raise to 18,500. With no hesitation, Che bumped it up further to 45,000 and collected the pot shortly after Cheung slipped his hand in the muck.

Folded to Ye Zhifan, he stuffed his last 23,000 in and faced Gao Kang's ace high behind. Hoping to stay alive, Ye instead, headed for the rails after the river 2♥ K♦ 4♠ J♦ 3♥ tabled a straight for his opponent.

Shi Qizheng opened to 7,500 and called Xu Guo's 30,000 all-in. At risk, Xu bagged the double up shortly after the board Q♣ 8♣ T♥ 4♦ 5♠ rolled on the felt.

A raised pot on flop 9♣ 4♠ A♣ , aggressor Cao Tingjia continued for 5,000 and called 11,000 more after big blind Yin Tao pulled a check raise. On turn 3♣ , Yin sent out another 27,000, enough to convince Cao to throw in the fold.

A three way all-in saw original raiser Sun Jianfeng make the final call, covering both stacks - Chan Cho Hin (49,500) and Jin Yunlong (27,000). Board ran 6♣ Q♠ K♠ 3♠ 4♣ with Sun's pair of queens good for the win.

Hijack Peng Sishu opened to 6,500 and was joined by button Zhou Zhengong. On board J♣ T♦ 2♣ 4♠ Q♦ , Peng triple barreled - 5,500, 15,500, and 27,000, with Zhou calling behind two streets. By the river however, Zhou was unable to continue, earning Peng the pot.

Gameplay resumes with 79 runners returning to the felt. Day 1B action will close once field is down to 15% (ITM).

Jargalsaikhan Nyam-Ochir opened and called off Wang Wuyi's 21,500 jam for a race. At risk, Wang was spared from elimination after the river T♠ 2♥ 7♥ 3♦ A♥ landed him top pair to turn the tables.

Small blind Sei Aleksei raised to 6,500, called behind by Ji Xiaqing. On flop K♣ 3♠ 5♠ , Ji called a 5,000 continuation bet from his opponent and headed to turn 5♥ . Both players check it through to river Q♠ . Checked to Ji once more, he sent out a 15,500 bet and locked in the win after Sei folded.

Shen Enzhi open shoved 42,000 and was followed with another all-in behind from Ji Siyu. Tabling the same hand, the two chop the pot on board 3♦ 2♠ 7♠ 2♥ 9♣ .

With 45,000 in the middle on flop 3♠ Q♥ T♥ , action was seen on small blind Zhou Jin with an all-in for 40,000. Zhang Lirui tanks and makes the call for half his stack with 5♦ 5♠ . Zhang is ahead against Zhou's A♣ J♥ and remained that way all through turn Q♣ and river 4♦ .

Button Nadmid Sanduisuren minraised to 5,000 and saw big blind Li Shankui put in a raise to 18,000. Nadmid answered with an all-in for 111,000 total. Li tanks and surrenders.

Ji Siyu opened and called off a 12,500 jam from Zhang Rong. Board 6♣ 5♦ 6♥ 4♠ 6♦ ran safe for the pocket pair, earning her the boost.

Facing an open and a three bet to 12,000, Qidong He on the hijack sent out a cold four bet to 30,000 and raked in the pot uncontested.

Utg+1 Lin Chien Yu opened to 4,500 and called Chen Don's raise to 33,000 right behind. On flop 3♣ 5♣ 8♠ , Lin bet min with Chen quickly flicking in his remaining 1,500. Lin shows A♥ Q♥ and is up against Chen's T♥ T♠ . Needing to pair up, Lin locked in the win as the runout revealed K♥ A♣ .

Utg+1 Yin Tao opened the action, called by three other players including Li Jihh Sing for his last 4,000. All three checked down board 5♣ A♣ K♦ 5♠ 2♥ , revealing Yin's K♣ Q♦ enough to knock out Li with Q♠ Q♣ .

Facing a 4,500 open from Lin Chien Yu, Liu Changyan shoved his last 22,000 in and was called by the raiser. Liu ahead, picked up the stack as the board ran 6♣ K♦ 8♦ 4♣ 3♠.

Utg Lin Chung Tang opened to 3,000, called by small blind Paul Hong. Big blind Li Lei went all-in for 36,500 and picked up the pot after both opponents folded.

Ji Siyu opened from late position and was met with a three bet to 7,000 from Che Jiaming. Ji clapped back to 16,000 and proceeded to snap call for her entire 51,000 stack after Che moved all-in. Crushed against the rockets, Che quickly forked over the pot as the board showed 4♦ 3♦ T♣ A♠ 9♣ .

Shen Enzhi opened the action and went on to slam his big stack in after Yang Chongxian fired a three bet to 8,500. Yang makes the call for his 17,500 behind and scores the double up on a dry board 8♥ 4♣ 3♣ 6♣ 8♦ .

With 19,000 in the middle on flop 5♦ 4♥ 5♥ , action was seen on small blind Xu Erdun with a bet of 6,500. Cutoff Xu Jieming shoved all-in for 28,000 and picked up the pot after Erdun tank folded.

An all-in preflop battle between Xiao Xian and Yu Zhichen ensued with both stacking the same 27,500 chip count. Dominated, Yu headed for the rails shortly after the board 5♥ T♥ 3♣ 4♦ 7♣ turned up on the felt.

Day 1B drew in a much bigger field than yesterday's flight with 273 total entries recorded across registration. Action will play down to 15% of the field (ITM) at 41 players.

The final flight Day 1C kicks off at 18:00, running faster 20 minute gameplay all throughout.

Utg Chen Yen Han opened to 2,400 and was called by two other players. Small blind Ye Zhifan put in a raise to 8,500 and called off Chen's 19,500 all-in. At risk, Chen survives the rundown as the board showed K♠ 6♥ 7♠ A♣ 7♥ .

Peng Meng Dian opened and called off for his 20,000 stack after Lei Xiang put him all-in. A huge favorite, Peng cruises to victory and earns the double up.

Chen Long open shoved for 11,900 and was met with another all-in from Sun Yuan. In for a race, the board 7♠ 2♦ K♦ A♠ 6♠ offered no help for Chen, knocking him out from the flight.

Utg limped in and saw Xu Erdun right behind raise it up to 3,500. Big blind Keong Wai Cheng shoved 14,700 and was quickly called by Xu. Drawing thin, Keong found no salvation on board A♦ 8♥ 9♣ 7♠ Q♦ sealing his elimination.

Facing an open and a call, big blind Sei Aleksei put in a raise to 6,000 and saw both opponents continue to flop 3♥ 5♦ J♠ . Original raiser Zhou Zhengong called a 7,300 bet from Sei yet tank folded on turn 4♥ after Sei sent out another 10,000.

With 7,300 in the middle on board T♦ 7♦ 7♣ Q♥ , action was seen on small blind Jargalsaikhan Nyam-Ochir leading out for 3,000. Original raiser Yang Yifei raised it up to 9,300 and Jargalsaikhan completes. Both players check down river 5♦ and Jargalsaikhan shows K♠ Q♣ to rake it in.

Yang Chongxian stuffed his 12,000 stack in and was called behind by Li Jia Chi. Dominated, the board T♦ T♠ Q♥ 2♠ Q♦ spared Yang from elimination for a split pot.

Mp Zhao Xin opened to 2,200, called by a player behind. Cutoff Ma Li sent out a three bet to 7,000 and proceeded to shove all-in after Zhao put in another raise to 18,000. Zhao quickly surrenders and takes his 23 BB behind on to the next hand.

Button Guo Biao opened to 2,200 and was met with a three bet to 6,000 from big blind Ma Li. Guo answered with a raise to 14,000 and left Ma to tank for two minutes before throwing in the fold.

Ma Li opened to 2,100, called by two players behind. Shum Chun Yeung decided to squeeze all-in for 13,300. Action back to Ma, she bumped it up further to 22,100 and successfully isolated for showdown. Board ran 8♣ 3♣ K♣ 8♥ 5♥ , leaving Ma's pocket pair holding up for the win.

Mp Chen Peng opened to 1,800, called by a player behind. Button Wang Weinan put in a raise to 6,500 and saw the original raiser continue to flop 5♠ 7♦ K♦ . Chen check called a 5,000 bet and checked once more on turn 2♣. Wang checks it through and shortly folds after Chen shoved 12,400 by the river 8♦ .

Chen Yen Han opened from the button and called off for his 11,500 stack against Matsuoka Katsuki's raise. Running a race, the board 6♣ 8♥ J♦ 3♦ Q♥ unfortunately ran in favor of Matsuoka to eliminate Chen in the process.

Facing an open, Shi Qizheng sent out a three bet to 7,000 and called the 9,700 more after Long Yonghua cold four bet shoved. Slightly behind, Shi turned the tables right on the flop Q♠ 8♣ Q♣ 7♠ 2♥ to shortly boot Long out.

Mp Kashimoto Takashi opened to 1,400, called by Li Jihh Sing behind along with the big blind. On flop J♣ 7♣ 6♠ , Kashimoto sent out another 1,800 and saw only Li continue to turn 4♦ . Action went check check, revealing river 5♥ . Checked to Li, he bet 2,500 and went to showdown with 9♥ 9♠ after Kashimoto put in the call. Kashimoto shows top pair J♦ T♠ and ships the pot.

Wu Luyao opened from utg for 1,400 and saw Yu Jizheng and big blind Ma Li come along on flop A♦ 2♦ 4♠ . Wu continued for 2,800, called by both opponents. Turn 4♦ was checked to Wu who bet 6,000, with only Ma making the call for river J♦ . Both check it down and Ma shows 4♣ 5♣ , no good against Yu's flush 6♠ 6♦ .

Liu Changyan opened to 1,200 and jammed vs Wang Chuang's 4,500 three bet. Wang called off for his 16,000 behind and is in for a flip for his tournament life. The board 5♥ T♦ J♦ J♠ Q♥ ran safe for the pocket pair up until the river to send him out of the Day 1B games.

With 8,700 in the pot on flop 9♣ 6♦ J♠ , two stacks rushed to the middle with Hu Jianwen at risk with 7♠ 7♣ against Lin Zhaoyi's A♦ J♥ . Left drawing to two outs, the turn Q♦ and river K♣ seal Hu's fate as he heads towards the rails.

Zhang Jiageng shoved his remaining 10,400 and was called by Naohiro Matsuda for a pocket pair battle. Whilst ahead, Zhang quickly came crashing down as the board J♥ 2♦ 2♥ K♣ J♠ ran quads for his opponent.

Button Zhang Lirui defended his open and called a 4,000 three bet from big blind Gnusaev Dmitrii. Zhang continued to turn 3♠ after calling a 2,200 bet from the aggressor. Action was checked by both and revealed river 7♣ . Gnusaev led for 3,000 and went on to shove 30,000 in after Zhang put in a raise to 11,500. Zhang tanks and folds.

Tag team event winner Jargalsaikhan Nyam-Ochir opened to 1,200 and saw small blind Li Chen Liang come along on flop K♣ 3♠ 6♣ . Jargalsaikhan continued for 1,000 and another 3,500 on turn Q♠ . Li called the initial bet yet folded after Jargalsaikhan proceeded with more aggression.

Gao Xiangchen opened to 1,000 and proceeded four bet call off for his 19,200 stack against Demus Patrik. Board ran Q♠ 2♦ 5♠ 4♥ T♠ , quickly sending Gao out early in the game.

A four way pot led by Li Xiang rolled flop 5♣ 6♦ Q♠ . Action was checked all around, peeling turn 8♣ . Big blind Yu Zhanghui led for 1,500, called by the raiser. River 8♠ saw no more bets with Yu revealing 5♠ 6♥, good against Li's A♣ 9♥ .

Having already built a pot of over 8,000, utg Bi Hai Sheng led out a pot size bet of 8,500 and was met with a raise behind by button Jin Yunlong. Bi goes in the tank and finally makes the call with K♣ J♥ , only to see his opponent table K♠ 4♦ to knock him out entirely.

With 10,000 in the pot on board 3♠ 7♥ 8♠ 4♥ K♠ , action was seen on big blind Tian Hao leading out a 15,000 overbet. Small blind Li Qingxin tanks and folds, saving his 33 BB behind.

Hijack Li Jing Wei defended his open and called a 2,400 three bet from small blind Shen Yuzhi. On board A♠ 9♣ 8♣ 5♣ 3♣ , Li check called all three streets - 2,400, 5,000, and his remaining 8,700 by the river, and showed A♣ T♠ for the nut flush, sending Shen's A♥ J♣ towards the muck.

With 3,400 in the pot on board 6♠ 9♦ 8♣ 6♥ , action was seen on big blind Jin Xuanyu with a bet of 1,600. Opponent Shen Enzhi bumped it up to 4,200 and went on to jam after Jin put in another raise to 11,000. Jin calls off for his 14,200 behind and is crushed to see Shen's 9♠ 9♥ leave his T♥ 6♣ drawing slim. The river 4♦ completes the board and Jin heads out.

Button Demus Patrik opened to 700 and called a 2,200 three bet from small blind Nadmid Sanduisuren. Flop came K♣ 8♣ 3♣ and Demus proceeded to call for another 700. Turn 4♦ however, was checked to him, leading him to fire 3,800 and a final 3,500 bet on river 4♥ . Nadmid check calls both streets and shortly mucks after Demus reveals K♦ 9♦ .

A three way raised pot saw flop 7♠ T♣ 2♦ . Action was checked to Li Valery Anatolevich who fired 900. Big blind Heng Qiao makes the call and sees turn 7♣ . Both players check it through to river 8♠ where Li lodged a final 2,300 and Heng mucks.

With 20,000 in the middle on board J♣ T♣ 7♣ K♥ 5♠ , action was seen on big blind Aghayev Farhad firing an all-in for 18,800. Matsuda Naohiro makes the call behind and successfully busts his opponent after tabling A♥ A♦ against the latter's A♠ 9♠ .

Utg Lin Zhe opened to 500, called by button Wang Mingyue along with the big blind. On flop T♣ 2♠ J♣ , Lin sent out 600 and another 1,000 on turn 4♦. Wang called the continuation bet yet gave it up after Lin fired a double barrel.

Aghayev Farhad completed from the big blind against Zhang Fangxiao's button open and headed to flop K♦ Q♦ A♠ . Both players checked it through to turn 8♦ where Zhang threw in a 500 bet. Aghayev continues to river T♦ but is unable to get to showdown after Zhang sent out another 600.

Utg Sei Aleksei opened to 500, called by button Zhou Zhengong along with the small blind. On flop J♥ T♦ 9♥ , Sei continued for 600 and saw Zhou put in the call. Turn J♦ and river 9♠ were checked through with Sei revealing K♠ Q♦ for the win.

A raised pot blind vs blind saw flop K♥ T♠ 7♦ , Wang Yitong led for 600 and faced a raise to 1,700 from Chen Jie behind. Wang tanked and bumped it up further to 5,500. Wang gives it up and throws in the fold.

The Red Dragon Poker Tour festivities running through August 4th at Landing Casino, Jeju Shinhwa World, South Korea kicked off its opening day games yesterday with KPC Baby Dragon’s first flight already in the books. China’s Chen Wen Wen currently leads the twelve survivors moving onto Day 2 with two final heats for the Special Event set to complete today, July 27th.

Day 1B action starts at 12:00 with registration open through Level 8 @ 16:30.
