Excitement Builds for the Second Won Poker Cup Featuring $1 Million Festival Guarantee And Exclusive W Ring
The second edition of the Won Poker Cup is fast approaching featuring a larger schedule and a festival guarantee boasting USD 1,000,000. Taking place from November 24 to December 2 at the luxurious Won Majestic Hotel in Sihanoukville, Cambodia, this young festival has already created a buzz across the Asian poker community, with players still raving about the success of its debut edition.
Won Poker Cup II Highlights
For the upcoming Won Poker Cup II, trophy events have buy ins as low as $160 to the height of $5,000 for the W High Roller. There are also satellite events to bring down the cost of major events to just a fraction. The most hunted title will of course be the Main Event especially with its bold $600,000 guarantee, which is an exciting $100K more than its inaugural offering. Buy in for this highlighted event is $1,220 with seven starting flights to try to qualify into the ITM round.
At the inaugural edition, the Main Event drew 404 entries with players from China, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, India, and expats in the region among the many attendees. The title went to China’s Hong Ke after defeating Australia’s Armon Van Wijk at heads up to lift his first ever live title and cash of $97,100. For runner-up Van Wijk, the $61,000 payday was also a career-best. Players can expect even bigger prizes at the next edition.
Adding more prestige to the lineup is the $5,000 W High Roller, which is the most expensive event in the roster. Making its debut, it is expected to attract some of the region’s top players especially with its $100,000 guarantee.
Another first for this edition, both the Main Event and W High Roller champions will be honored with the prestigious Eagle Trophy and the exclusive W Ring crafted from gold and encrusted with diamonds.

Kicking off the games is the Warm Up Event, which has a $565 buy-in and boasts an $80,000 guarantee. One day later is the $565 buy-in Mystery Bounty Event $100K guaranteed with two entry flights.
