Yu Young Jin Leads Final Nine in Super Cup Seoul 2024 Main Event
The final table has been set for the inaugural Super Cup Seoul 2024 Main Event at the COEX Convention & Exhibition Center. When the penultimate tournament day kicked off, 38 Day 1 survivors returned to their seats inside of "The Platz" to battle their way as deep as possible for a piece of the KRW 248 Million prize pool.
Only nine of them succeeded in this quest for the time being when the final river card was dealt inside of Studio 159. Eight players from South Korea and one contender from China remain in contention and leading the way by a large margin is Yu Young Jin with 2,100,000 to his name. He has more chips than second-placed Su Min Im (955,000) and third-placed Jae Seok Sim (920,000) just to put things into perspective.
Longhao Shen is the only foreigner trying to claim the stunning trophy and sits in fourth place on the leaderboard with 845,000. He was responsible for the elimination of fellow countryman Junsheng Qiao in 11th place before Day 1c chip leader Sung Won Seo became the final casualty of the night.
Representing the main sponsor Isabelle is none other than Joo Hee Oh, the last woman standing in this tournament. She had somewhat of a roller coaster ride on the live stream table and bagged up 770,000 to her name. All nine finalists have locked up KRW 4.2 Million ($3,002) for their efforts, whereas the winner will receive the handsome top prize of KRW 60 Million ($42,891).

Shuffle Up and Deal for Day 2
At least five of the players have not shown up in time yet but the cards are officially in the air for Day 2.
Welcome to Day 2 of the Super Cup Seoul 2024 Main Event
The money stages are set for the inaugural Super Cup Seoul 2024 Main Event at the COEX Convention & Exhibition Center and out of a field of 248 entries, only 38 players remain. They have all locked up a portion of the KRW 248 Million (~USD 177,284) and will walk away with at least KRW 2 Million for their efforts. However, the winner won't be crowned until tomorrow as Day 2 is set to play down to the final nine players.
Sungmin Ha leads the way with a staggering 541,000 in chips (good enough for 135 big blinds), most closely followed by Jong Hoon Lee (465,000) and Sumin Lim (441,000). Day 1c chip leader Sungweon Seo (337,000) and Day 1d top dog Xu Chen (332,000) are up next and separated by only one big blind.
Joo Hee Oh returns with 179,000 in chips and is one of three female players in contention, while Subin Lim (40,000) and Yun Hye Kim (22,000) survived their bubble stages on a short stack. The same also applies for Hong Kong's Alan "King Lun" Lau, arguably one of the most experienced players in the field. He returns with 65,000 to spin up.
The action recommences at 11 a.m. local time and the blinds roll back to the start of level 14 with 2,000-4,000 and a big blind ante of 4,000. All levels for Day 2 will have a duration of 50 minutes each and the action for tonight concludes when there are nine contenders left. From the first break on, the action will also be live-streamed on a 30-minute delay on the Super Cup YouTube channel.
