The second flight of the Red Dragon Championship games wrapped up with another 31 players out of its 104-entry field advancing onto Day 2. China's Qidong He topped the list, having bagged a mighty 408,000 (81 BB) stack to take the lead. Bracelet winner William Teoh followed second in rank with 315,000 (63 BB) after managing to triple up right at the last hand of the day. Day 1A chip leader Yong Li continues to hold the top spot with his massive 645,000 (129 BB) chip count remaining to be the target for the last two flights on schedule.

Both Day 1A and Day 1B survivors have a day to recuperate before heading back to the felt on Friday, November 29th for the Day 2 battle.

With the clock already at pause, a three way all-in ensued at Table #34 with Shen Syu Ho covering both Jieming Xu's 130,000 and William Teoh's 100,000 stacks.

Board T♣ 7♦ 3♠ 9♦ 7♠ held for Teoh's pocket pair, earning him a triple up just before bagging time.

Down to the last hand of the day, Changyang Liu risked his remaining 130,000 and was looked up by initial raiser Wei Jen Wang. Drawing slim, Liu caught a monster flop 3♦ 3♠ A♥ 4♠ 6♥ to turn the tables and leave his opponent crippled.

Yongbin Wang opened to 11,000 on the cutoff and was met with a 33,000 three bet from Tom Verbruggen on the small blind. Wang answered with an all-in for 136,000 total, called by Verbruggen.

A ten high board 7♦ 4♥ 6♥ 9♦ T♥ rolled on the felt, leaving Wang's better pocket pair good for the take down.

An all-in preflop situation saw Weiran Pu risk his 120,000 stack against initial raiser Hengzhao Liu. In danger, Pu succumbed to his demise, having missed to pair his ace on board 9♠ 9♥ 3♠ T♣ 3♥ .

Tom Verbruggen opened utg and called off Yi Ye's 60,000 jam for a flip. Ye at risk, instantly flopped a nine, shipping him the double just as board ran T♥ 9♥ K♦ 2♣ Q♦ .

Three players battled for a 60,000 pot on flop 7♣ 3♣ 6♠ . William Teoh led all-in for 26,000, called behind by raiser Jieming Xu. Action back to Valery Li on the small blind, he raised all-in, isolating Teoh successfully.

With only four outs to keep him alive, Teoh was in luck to see the runout land K♥ 8♠ , with the river completing his straight to earn the triple up.

Gao Lei pushed his last 40,000 in and was challenged behind by Heng Qiao. Up against a monster, Lei found no help on board 3♠ 5♠ 9♠ 6♦ A♣ , knocking him out from the Day 1B running.

With 38,000 in the middle centered around flop K♠ 7♠ 7♦ , both Jiaqi He's and Jin Boxin's stacks came rushing in, He being at risk for his last 90,000.

Gao Lei opened 10,000 on the hijack, followed by an all-in for 17,000 from Shengyong Wang. Tom Verbruggen on the big blind, made the call along with Lei, revealing flop 4♦ K♣ 9♠ . Both checked it through to turn 3♥ , where Verbruggen led for 8,000. Lei opted out, leaving the two to showdown.

Xiaqing Ji fired a 40,000 three bet against Wei Xu's hijack open, leaving himself with 2,000 behind. Xu continued to flop 9♥ 8♣ 5♠ , and bet for the rest. Ji flicked it in with A♠ J♦ ahead of Xu's A♦ T♥ , up until the runout came T♦ K♦ , knocking him out right at the last hour of play.

Preflop action built up a 40,000 pot between Bohao Huang and Jieming Xu right behind. On flop 2♠ T♠ 7♦ , Huang check called a 14,000 bet from Xu, and went on to call off his opponent's 77,000 all-in on turn 9♦ .

Gunning for a ton of outs, Xu found one as the river 9♠ filled up his flush, crippling Huang in the process.

Action folded to Wei Xu on the small blind, who shoved 48,500, called behind by Yi Ye. Slightly behind, Xu caught up right on the turn 6♣ 7♥ 9♣ Q♥ J♣ , having landed top pair for the double up.

The second Red Dragon Championship flight on today's schedule attracted a smaller field of 104 entries across nine levels of registration, with only 56 players currently remaining in search for a spot into the Day 2 games. Three more levels of play is set on the table, closing right at the end of Level 14.

Today marks the start of the KRW 1,380,000,000 (~USD 990,995) guaranteed Red Dragon Championship festivities with two flights slated on schedule straight away. Day 1A had already wrapped up its registration, with Day 1B currently front and center, running a slightly faster pace of 30 minute levels. All Day 1 rounds will run through 14 levels each, with its survivors geared to return on Friday, November 29th for the Day 2 battle.

Registration for the second flight will remain open through Level 9 @23:00.
